I am a fully qualified Counselling Psychotherapist, and gained my qualification with the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body. I use a mainly Psychodynamic approach to counselling, but ultimately my training is as an Integrative therapist.
I have trained to Masters level in both Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (MA), and Addiction Counselling & Psychology (MSc)
In my private practice at Transitions Counselling, I provide short and long term counselling and psychotherapy. I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).
As well as having my own private practice, I've worked for both MIND and Terrence Higgins Trust. I also have considerable experience working in the NHS at Homerton Hospital Psychotherapy Unit & the Tavistock & Portman Adult Complex Needs clinic (working with personality disorders & those experiencing trauma), in organisational contexts, facilitating addictions recovery group work, the charity sector, and other mental health settings.
I have experience in working with Bereavement, Abuse, Depression & Anxiety, Addictions, Relationship Issues, Anger Management, Sexuality, Gay / Lesbian Issues, HIV / AIDS, Identity, Suicidal Thoughts, Addiction,
Stress and Childhood Related Issue's, Low Self-Esteem, Bullying, Self Harm, Gambling, Alcoholism and Bipolar Disorder.
